Balancing Resources on the Pinedale Anticline

Collaboration, Conservation and Commitment on the Pinedale Anticline

Ultra, Shell and Questar recognize the importance of balancing natural gas development with protection of habitat, wildlife, air and water resources, while minimizing the impacts to the local community.  The Anticline is a world-class natural gas resource, the nation's second largest.  It's also an important wildlife habitat for mule deer, pronghorn antelope, sage grouse and many other species.

Balancing resources on the Pinedale Anticline requires a collaborative effort. The unique alliance of Operators developed a mitigation plan with the expertise of the Wyoming Game & Fish (WGF) and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ). The Operators refined the commitments to mitigation by listening to public comments made during the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement process. The result of this cooperative effort is a mitigation plan that establishes commitments to protect wildlife and air quality in the Pinedale Anticline Project Area (PAPA) for the life of the project.

We're commited to doing it right.
